As Research Director, Daphne is responsible for the growth and development of Insights West’s qualitative (focus group) research offering and will soon manage Omnibus Insights.
In her previous role as Research Manager at Rocky Mountaineer, Daphne helped to create and develop the research team, delivering on major projects around guest satisfaction, ad tracking and usage and attitude studies.
Prior to this, Daphne worked at Ipsos, where she trained under and worked closely with Catherine Dawson, now Senior VP & Chief Methodologist at Insights West. During her time at Ipsos, Daphne specialized in the retail and branding sectors but eventually felt the pull to pursue her interest in tourism. She took a year to travel and sell the Ipsos interactive panel tool in Australia before ultimately combining her research skill set with her tourism passion at Rocky Mountaineer.
Daphne spends much of her spare time with her husband and two young children, as well as their large extended families. When they’re not travelling abroad together, she enjoys taking in all of what BC has to offer—sightseeing, camping and fishing across the corners of the province. When closer to home, Daphne likes to pass the time skiing, cooking and gardening.
